Creole Styled Cantonese rice
Want to try a new rice recipe ? Come along and let me show you the rice based famous Chinese recipe ! But we gonna do the Creole’s version.
Ingredients for 4 people :
- 200gr rice (7 ounces)
- 6 eggs
- 4 slices of ham
- 200gr bacon (7 ounces)
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 250gr peas (9 ounces)
- a bunch of parsley
- 3 green onions
- a tablespoons of olive oil
First, start to cook the rice in a frying pan, adding water little by little.
In the mean time, cut the bacon into thin strips and boil in a saucepan. Then, brown the bacon in a pan and start cooking the peas in an other pan.
Once the rice and the peas are cooked, put the rice in a bowl with the ham cutes into small dices and add the peas, the browned bacon, the cutted green onions and the chopped parsley.
Start the omelet, beat eggs in a bowl, add salt and pepper. Pour into an hot oiled frying pan and stir regularly.
Finally, add the omelet in the rice and mix everything, check seasoning and serve.
Tips :
instead of putting bacon, you can put shrimp !
